They say it never rains in California, well in the process that it took this song to get made, it rained relatively frequently. For California at least.
I wanted this song to feel like Carrie Bradshew walking down the streets of Manhattan in a pink tutu (you know, if pink tutus are your thing) but also like the most epic moment in The Lion King. Because I believe that we all deserve to live totally normal lives, but also dramatic, outrageously adventurous dangerous lives. That’s how we feel so much. It’s a curse and a blessing. The sum of my mistakes and the celebration of all of my decisions that have led to this very moment. We’re all the same. I am you and you are me. We make mistakes, we get it right, we do what we do and there’s nothing else really, is there?
